Born on March 19, 1955, Willis spent his formative years in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany. Son of David Willis and Marlene, Bruce is the oldest amongst the four siblings.

After completing his schooling from Penns Grove High School, Bruce started working at the Salem Nuclear Power Plant. He first worked as a security guard, however, later he switched as a private investigator. Before focusing completely on acting, he did many jobs which included even that of a Bartender.

Bruce Willis began his career in the 1980s, when he was first signed for Television shows. He made an appearance No Exit (Miami Vice), then on The Twilight Zone, “Shatterday”. His had a break through with the show “Moonlighting (1985–89)”. For his acting, he won appreciation from both critic and fans. He was also won “Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy” and “Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series”.
