Yankee (Birth name: Ramón Ayala Rodríguez) was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on February 3, 1977. He spent his formative years in Villa Kennedy Housing Projects.

Yankee has maintained his privacy and thus his personal life is not much open to the general public. In his interviews, one can rarely see him speaking about it. However, in 2006 Ramon made an exception and went on to talk about his wife and children in one interview.
