Born on January 6, 1994, in Bessemer, Alabama, Winston won numerous awards from an early start. Till date, he has won awards including AP College Player of the Year (2013), Davey O’Brien Award (2013), Walter Camp Award (2013) and Pro Bowl (2015).
During his college years, he not only limited himself to football rather also actively participated in baseball. In 2013 he played as an outfielder and a pitcher and continued playing baseball in 2014. While in 2015 he signed a $23.35 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The signing bonus alone amounted to $16.7 million.
Apart from his good career stats, Jameis Winston also made headlines for wrong reasons in 2013 and 2014. As in July 2013, he was accused of stealing soda by a Burger King employee.
