Born on October 8, 1970, Damon spent his early childhood in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His formative years were not good as after his parent’s separation, he felt a bit lonely and then his short stature also made him a bit insecure in high school. However later he evolved in a much more secure and confident guy. He then started appearing in screenplay and eventually switched to mainstream cinema.

He had his debut in movies in the year 1998 although his first role had just one line dialogue in the whole film. During 90’s he also appeared on a couple of other projects as well, including Geronimo and School Ties. Things changed substantially when he along with Affleck co-wrote a screenplay for the movie “Good Will Hunting“. The movie was an instant hit, financially rewarding both of them by collecting $225 million at the box office. However the cash they eventually took home was not as high as the overall collection. The actors could just split $1.2 million as profit but still talking about their respective career, this movie helped each of to step up the ladder. Finally in 1999 he saw some real cash as the actor reportedly received $5 million payment for the movie The Talented Mr. Ripley, which also starred  Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law
