Born on June 16, 1971, to Billy Garland and Afeni Shakur, Tupac spent his early days in Manhattan, New York. His parents were members of Black Panther Party, back in 1960’s, so initial years for Tupac were not easy. He lived in the Hood that was also a home to many convicted criminals, so early in life he had to learn how to survive in a tough condition. Later on it all even reflected in his songs, as how hard life can be.
Makaveli began his career as a rapper in 1987 however, his first track “same song” was released in early 1991. Soon he released his solo album, “2Pacalypse Now”. The first album could not perform well but still got critically acclaimed. It stirred controversy and also made 2pac popular.
Soon in 1993, he released his second album, “Strictly 4 My N.I.G.A.Z”, which indeed was more successful commercially than its predecessor. It debuted on Billboard Top 50, as people like Tupac’s unique style of portraying his social and political views.
Over the subsequent years, he released more successful albums including, “The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory”, “All Eyez on Me” and “Me Against the World”.
